Best weekend of sumM.E.E.r 2010

was spent in Rensselaerville with my friend Adelaide and her family.....It was a weekend affair full of glam cocktail parties, gourmet dinners (still dreaming of the duck confit canapes with blackberry jam) afternoons lazily spent by the pool, pre-dinner naps, showers and sharing beauty secrets while getting all dolled up for the evening...
it was the perfect weekend. here are some pics!

Weekend Travel

This summer I plan to spend negative three weekends in Manhattan.

I have trips already mapped out: Hamptons, Cape Cod, Connecticut!

However, I think traveling chic is very important! You never know who you're going to see on the Jitney, Metro North, Ferry.

Here is what I'm thinking for my first trip!

Braided Updo

My friend Courtney and I have been discussing how chic a braided updo is for spring and summer. There's nothing more uncomfortable for me (ME the queen of blowouts) then wearing my hair down in the midst of a humid week, I like quick easy breezy updos for summer.

I love how Emily of Cupcakes and Cashmere gives you a lesson on her site of exactly how to create this summer chic look!

It's a MARVELOUS Monday after all because...

my friend Carly and I have been searching FEVERISHLY since February for this ring. We were on our way into a show during Fashion Week and there was the impeccably dressed woman (you know those women that you look at and your like "MY GOODNESS, your shoes, your belt, your dress, your hat, I WANT IT ALL!"), well we couldn't stop looking at her.
Then Carly pointed out her RING, which was the most interesting thing ever. It was a floating rhinestone ring that had three diamond looking things...I mean I can't even describe it.

But, alas, I FOUND IT this morning after a crazy google search!

Sunday Guyle: Brian

My friend Brian has incredible "guyle" (for those of you just starting to read, "guyle" when searched in the webster dictionary is "a guy with style", heh).
He loves to take risks with his ensemble choices, which I always applaud. In fact, when he came to NYC for my birthday in February, this dapper chap came donning an ASCOT.
Brian's style is constantly evolving but he always stays true to his preppy roots (blazers, bow ties, j'adore).
Cheers to Brian for being one of the most put together guy friends that I have!

2.) eating like 4 rolls of candy dots, and then sticking out my rainbow colored tongue to a stuck up business man
3.) this madison marcus dress! cosmically entranced by this little number.
4.) lychee bubble tea
5.) to be audrey chic, on a bike, with a basket, and a cute little puppy
6.) DYING to buy like 12,000 of these paper parasols in all different shades of pink, and perhaps hanging them from my ceiling, or carrying around the UES.
